The stellar 1Life Dev Team has been hard at work releasing new features this month to show their love in the software they develop to make your user experience better.
- 1Life – Scheduler
We’ve released a new version of Scheduler, bringing the following changes:
- We’ve inactivated all schedules that were named “Untitled”
- We’ve implement a fix that will prevent schedules to stop running after it misses “one event”
The latter will “un-block” a few schedules that had stopped running without us noticing.
- 1Life – Web Tool
We’ve released a new version of the 1Life – Web Tool, introducing some major changes to training tasks:
- Training tasks are now synchronized with their templates. This means:
- If a training task group template is being edited (removing tasks, adding new tasks, renaming tasks, etc.), these changes will automatically apply to all users that had the task group assigned to them
- It is now possible to assign “document training task” to employees
- Document training tasks are “linked” to a document from your private library (or the corporate document library)
- When it’s assigned, it tracks the “status” of the document with the employee. This status can be:
- Not assigned yet
- Assigned
- Signed on the web
- Signed on mobile
- Note that if it was signed on both on mobile and web, it will set the status as “signed on mobile”
- It is also possible to set due days for tasks
- You can choose how many days a task should be accomplished after it’s been assigned
- Upon assignment the task will have its “due date” automatically set
If you’re going to use or train users with this new feature, below is the most basic flow to use training tasks:
- Start by building your templates as a web administrator under the menu “Training / Tasks”
- Add template groups
- Within your groups add new
- Choose their type (“regular task” or “document task” at the moment)
- Choose the due day period
- Once your templates are built, you can assign them to your employees via two ways:
- Under “Employees / Labels”, you can attach training task groups to your labels, automatically assigning them to all associated employees
- Under any employee’s profile (in the sub menu “tasks”) you can import task group template
- Finally, you can also build tasks that are specific to an employee. Navigate to the employee profile, choose the sub menu “tasks”, and start building his/her tasks.
- 1Life – Contractor
We’ve released a new version of 1Life – Contractor, bringing the following changes:
- As a prime looking at all my contractors: Drag and drop ability has been removed and replaced with a “organize contractors” button (for consistency with other application and to prevent bugs on smaller devices)
- As a user creating/editing a contractor employee: I can now reveal the password of the user. Please note revealing the password will automatically clear the field. This is for obvious security reason (long story short, you can now reveal the password when you’re setting it or resetting it).
- Our “reset password” screen has been updated to support sub-employees as well. On the login screen we’ve added a link to “reset my password”
- Prime users are now able to filter their contractors based on statuses
- The requirement page has several updates:
- Both primes and subs can now see directly how many valid and expired documents are attached to each requirement
- The “answer” field has been expanded to be more “readable”
- Underneath the requirement question, there is now a small mention that indicates if documents are required
- Both primes and sub can now edit the attached document expiring date (they can also remove the expiration date)
- We’ve also made some minor changes to how requirement status is being set:
- When all documents for a requirement are expired. The requirement also expires (even if documents were not mandatory)
- When any user updates a requirement (changing a document expiration date or changing the answer) it automatically updates the status of the requirement to ensure it will be revised by a prime employee.
- We’ve replaced the “check” and “cross” buttons with “save” and “cancel” buttons for submitting answers
Additionally, we’ve fixed the following bugs:
- Primes were not able to re-activate contractor sometimes
- Updates to requirement templates would sometimes be copied over to existing requirements
- 1Life – LMS
We’ve released a new version of 1Life – LMS, bringing the following changes:
- Audio slides have been removed from the course builder interface (they are not required anymore now that all slides are including audio)
- The “fill in the blank” slide type has been totally revamped on mobile screens and now presents with “drop down” when clicking on the blank areas
- The checkbox slide has been updated on mobile screens to include the question at the top of the slide
- The drag and drop slides have been updated for mobile (the dropping area has been reduced)
- The “check answers” button is now disabled until you complete the game
- We’ve resolved a bug that would put a course back to “in-progress” when the user would review the slides after successfully passing the exam
- We’ve updated the user’s course details to include information about failed exam
- We’ve updated the process for building checkbox slides to prevent slide with “no valid answer”. Please keep in mind this doesn’t the user from removing valid answers after the slide was already published (it’s a known issue for all slide types).
